The Morton Arboretum is an internationally recognized tree-focused botanical garden and research center. There are tons of walking paths through beautiful tree-filled landscapes and a visitors center with a cafe.
Frank Lloyd Wright lived and worked in the nearby neighborhood of Oak Park, which boasts the highest concentration of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed homes in the world. There are a few different guided, self-guided, and audio walking tours to see his home and studio and the roughly 25 houses and public buildings he designed around the area.
Oakbrook Mall is a large shopping center with high end stores, restaurants and entertainment including Pinstripes bowling & bocce and a movie theater.
